I was brought to Airbnb to design and animate ads for their Host Paid Growth channels.

USER GENERATED STORIES

The UGC project was a testing ground for a new illustration style at Airbnb, I worked closely with the illustration department and designer Carlos Romero to pitch three ads for social media channels that featured illustration and animation based on real user quotes and personas.

Process

DESIGN LANGUAGE SYSTEM

The Airbnb DLS was updated in 2019. I worked with Salih Kareem-Abdul to create tools and visualizations for the Experience Design team.

GROWTH MARKETING AUTOMATED ADS

Airbnb tested variations and served ads on 3 platforms to 70 countries with estimated potential hosting profits updated each day. In order to maintain such a high output, I was tasked with creating a workflow that was both art directable and instantly updatable. We leveraged a marketing service called SMARTLY.
